WELCOME!

The church is conveniently located on the west edge of Pitsburg, with ample parking and an access ramp for those who are physically challenged.  On the lower level is a modern kitchen, fellowship hall, and nursery which is clean and safe.  We have competent individuals available to watch small children during Worship.  Besides regular Sunday services, we have Bible studies, Women’s fellowship, and other gathering times for fun and fellowship. The mission of the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren is to serve all people by encouraging fellowship, love and compassion; by living as empowered disciples of Jesus Christ, Simply, Peacefully, Together.

Ken grew up attending Happy Corner Church of the Brethren in Clayton, Ohio. He met his wife Daryl at Manchester College in Indiana and in 1977 there were married by Ken’s grandfather, Ira Oren, in the campus chapel. 

 

Ken and Daryl have lived in Vandalia since 1978.  They have two daughters who also attended Manchester College. 

 

While managing a plastering business, Ken began attending seminary part-time in the early 90's.  He graduated from Bethany Seminary in 1997. 

 

Ken began at the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren on November 29^th, 2009.
